Dr. Barbara Thiering was the first to discover the application of the pesher technique to the New Testament and to use the word "pesher".
By the application of the pesher, according to strict and consistent rules, it is possible to uncover the hidden meaning of the Gospels, Acts, and Revelation. However, there is much to study before becoming a "pesharist", therefore it is important to read Dr. Thiering's books and to study her original contributions here.
